Update on reimbursements for pharmacy preparations in 2025

Health insurers have announced which pharmacy preparations and raw materials they will and will no longer automatically reimburse from 1 January 2025. You can read the official news item from Zorgverzekeraars Nederland (Health Insurers Netherlands) here.

As of February 2025, the reimbursement status of the products in Table 1 will change to F: 'product is eligible for reimbursement as standard'. These products were previously scheduled to be reimbursed as of January 2025, but this decision has been reversed, partly thanks to feedback from the field.

The table below contains all the information about the products in our range whose reimbursement status will change to 'F'.


For the items listed below that can be ordered from Fagron, the entitlement status will change to 'N'. This means that the preparation is not usually eligible for reimbursement, but authorisation can be requested and an insurer may still decide to reimburse the preparation on individual grounds. The KNMP has published an overview in its report indicating, for each preparation, the indication for which an authorisation application is likely to be successful. Whether to grant the authorisation application and reimburse the supplied preparation is at the discretion of the health insurers.
