Change in orders with a doctor’s declaration – as of July 1

As of July 1, we are simplifying and accelerating the process for ordering products not registered in the Netherlands (supplied with a doctor’s declaration).
New process & new portal
Until now, you submitted the required information for orders with a doctor’s declaration via email. Starting July 1, after placing your order, you will receive an email with a link to provide the additional required information. This link will take you to a page where you can:
This new method will save time and is expected to reduce delivery delays for your order.
Explanation of delivery with a doctor’s declaration
Fagron may only proceed with the delivery of a medicine based on a doctor’s declaration once this declaration has been received. This is a legal requirement under the Dutch Medicines Act (Geneesmiddelenwet). The doctor’s declaration confirms that:
Important: The doctor’s declaration must not contain any patient-identifiable information.

- View the status of your ongoing orders with a doctor’s declaration,
- Be automatically logged in using the email address to which the message was sent, and
- Be prompted to create a personal password upon your first login.
This new method will save time and is expected to reduce delivery delays for your order.

Fagron may only proceed with the delivery of a medicine based on a doctor’s declaration once this declaration has been received. This is a legal requirement under the Dutch Medicines Act (Geneesmiddelenwet). The doctor’s declaration confirms that:
- The physician is responsible for prescribing an unregistered medicine.
- The medicine is necessary for the treatment of a specific patient.
- The patient has been informed about the associated risks.
Important: The doctor’s declaration must not contain any patient-identifiable information.
