Pedippi®  - 2 mg/ml 

You or your child has been prescribed omeprazole suspension
Pedippi® is an antacid. This medicine belongs to a group of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
Doctors prescribe Pedippi omeprazole suspension for stomach complaints and stomach or duodenal ulcers.

Please note! The red mixing disc must always remain in the bottle; do not remove it!

Step 1
Just before using this medicine, shake the bottle for 20 seconds.
Step 2
To open the bottle, press down on the grey cap and turn it counterclockwise. Do not remove the white part of the cap.
Step 3
Take the syringe and insert it into the syringe adapter.
Step 4
Turn the bottle upside down.
Step 4a
Fill the syringe with a small amount of suspension by pulling down the plunger.
Step 4b
Fill the syringe with a small amount of suspension by pulling down the plunger.
Step 4c
Finally, pull the plunger down until the syringe is filled to the measurement mark corresponding to the number of millilitres (ml) prescribed by your doctor. The flat top of the plunger should be at the measurement mark corresponding to the prescribed amount.
Step 5a
Turn the bottle back upright.
Step 5b
Remove the syringe from the syringe adapter.
Step 6
Insert the tip of the syringe into the patient's mouth and slowly push back the plunger to administer the medicine. The suspension will be released slowly at first and then more quickly due to the reduced resistance in the tip of the syringe.
Step 7
After use, rinse the syringe with water and allow it to dry so that you can use it again.
Step 8
Close the bottle with the plastic grey screw cap – leave the spray adapter in the bottle.

 Additional information about administration via feeding tubes 

Pedippi® can also be administered via a tube through the nose, known as a nasogastric tube (NG tube), or via a tube through the skin directly into the stomach. Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube (PEG tube). The syringe supplied is only suitable for oral administration. A suitable syringe that is suitable for the tube must be used.

Before administering this medicine, make sure that the inlet tube is not blocked.

  1. Rinse the feeding tube with 5 ml of water.
  2. Administer the correct dose of this medicine using a suitable syringe. Rinse the feeding tube again with 5 ml of water.
  3. This medicine is suitable for use with plastic tubes (polyurethane and PVC nasogastric NG tubes) and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG tubes) in sizes 6 Fr to 16 Fr.

For the smallest diameter tubes (6 Fr), a smaller flushing volume of 2 ml can be used in very young children.
