Pedippi® - 2 mg/mlÂ
For the treatment of symptomatic gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.Pedippi® is a registered omeprazole powder for oral suspension for the treatment of symptomatic gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. It is a suitable alternative for patients, such as children or the elderly, with swallowing difficulties or patients who cannot take solid oral dosage forms.
Preparation instructions for the pharmacist Â
The pharmacist is advised to prepare the (compound) Pedippi® powder for oral suspension in the pharmacy before dispensing the medicine to the user. ÂThe Pedippi® bottle has a two-compartment system with both powder in the cap and in the bottle. The two powders need to be mixed first and then water is added. A red mixing disc falls into the medicine to help mix the powders and also to mix the prepared suspension after water has been added. The red mixing disc should always remain in the bottle. The red cap and ring are replaced with the grey cap after preparation.Â
